Editorial Policy

What this site publishes

Theme and plugin reviews, build guides, performance work, and teardowns of real sites. Every article is written by a person who has done the thing being written about. Nothing here is generated and published without a human testing the claims.

How products are tested

A theme or plugin is installed on a clean staging site before it is reviewed. We record:

• Front-end CSS and JavaScript weight on a blank page, with no content.
• Whether it loads jQuery, and whether that is conditional.
• Lighthouse scores on mobile and desktop, run three times, median reported.
• How it behaves after a major version update of the parent theme or of WordPress.

Numbers quoted in an article are the numbers we measured, on the date stated in the article. They are not taken from a vendor page.

Sources and citation

Where an article relies on an external fact, such as a pricing tier or a documented API limit, it links to the primary source. Where a figure changes often, the article says when it was checked.

Updates and corrections

Articles show their publish date and, where relevant, an updated date. When a correction is material, a note is added at the foot of the article saying what changed and when. We do not silently edit a claim and leave the original date in place.

Spotted an error? Email info@casetheme.net. Corrections are free and we would rather be right than consistent.

Independence

Vendors do not get to review articles before publication. Free licences or review copies are accepted, and their existence is noted in the article, but they do not come with conditions about what is written.

Use of AI tools

AI tools may be used for research assistance, outlining, or code scaffolding. They are not used to write articles that are published without a human rewriting, verifying and taking responsibility for every claim. The byline on an article is the person accountable for it.
